My approach is compassionate, practical, and non-judgmental. Whether you’re struggling with substance use, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, or affected by a loved one’s addiction, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we focus on helping you feel better, regain a sense of control, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I teach practical strategies to cope with stress and the emotional ups and downs that often drive addictive behaviors. In fact, I wrote Intentional JOY: How to Turn Stress, Fear & Addiction (on Amazon) to help people better understand and manage negative thinking, emotional overwhelm, and stress-related patterns that contribute to addiction.
As a substance abuse counselor and food addiction therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and family members to help them reconnect with their sense of self, change unhealthy habits, and learn how to communicate limits in loving, effective ways.
As a holistically trained counselor, I work with the whole person, mind, body, emotions, and spirit, tailoring each session to the unique needs of my clients. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with a Holistic Specialization and I am a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor in private practice.
My areas of focus include stress and anxiety management, emotional regulation and recovery, healing from trauma, family dynamics affected by addiction, and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Guided Imagery.
